These are the discoveries that make international travel so darn “interesting.” Like no vacuuming on Sunday in Basel or learning the mysteries or exactly how to sort the recyclables. Hang in there (ok, bad I know….) 🫣

Oh how well I remember the fish out of water feeling! We didn’t own a dryer for the first 5 years we lived here, so totally feel your pain and understand the learning curve. :)

Looking forward to following you and Jim, vicariously, as you find your feet.

Heather, I love your subject line!

When traveling I take the active wear that is quick drying but understand you wouldn’t want your entire wardrobe made up of fishing or hiking clothes!

Does anyone still use the clothes pins that have a slit versus the ones that actually pinch. I think the slit ones are totally unreliable.

Thanks for the post!

I found your blog, I am super proud of me! Now we can communicate and I can read about your adventure. I was, as you know, a wonderful, caring mother, therefore, I did use clothes softener, no hard, scratchy material on my sweeties pies. However dryer sheets were torn in half, didn’t want to over do it. In my current HOA, I dry my unmentionable in my screened porch. No one knows. Bed sheets will be interesting, wonder how many clothes pins you will use. Love you. Mom & Dad
